You seem to have a similar problem as mine. Well, I am not an ectomorph, but I was really skinny. 5'9", 130lbs. But a friend of mine got me into this fitness program. Here's what I did:
1. eat five smaller meals a day, try to balance the nutrition Lots of carbohydrates and protein..but not fat (pasta, veggies, tuna, chicken, seafood, fruits, etc.) 2. work out (weights) at least three times a week for 2 hours. Work on your large muscle groups (bench presses, leg presses, flies, etc.) 3. use protein suppliments with your daily meals 4. sleep well, and drink a lot of water
I did that for about 2 months, and I gained 15 pounds! Now I am maintaining an "ideal" weight of 155lbs. With my metabolism, you really have to watch what you eat (and eat a lot!) I consume more than 3000 calories a day just to keep my weight.
