My father was a Baptist Minister, and my mother's father was a Presbyterian minister. Which made me a very unwelcome anamolly in my family. I agree with you on the fact that religion played a very big part in helping me make my life a living hell. That's only because I didn't take the initiative to read the bible for myself and understand that it doesn't say homosexuality is bad. The only thing the bible said to me is if you have a wife, don't take a gay lover because that triangle will cause conflict and disharmony between the people you love. That's it. Nothing about burning in hell if you have relations with other men. And absolutely nothing about women having lesbian relaitonships whether they are married or not. Sodom and Gamora wer destroyed for worshipping idols and general evil behavior with full knowledge that it displeased God. They actually took delight in doing anything that would anger God. So, it wasn't gay love that doomed them, it was their hatred that destroyed them.
Anyway, enough of the biblical stuff. It's my interpretation not someone elses told to me.
The only thoughts I have are about other men. They always have been. No fantasies involving women here. I'm not saying being Bi is bad, just that I can't really comment on it since I am totally gay. With Dr. Clark I would disagree, since he isn't totally gay and therefore can't comment on being 100% gay.
