My advise is easy. Suppress your feelings and resist the temptation if you can. This would be the best and less risky way to proceed. In my situation, my drive exceeds my partner's desire and it cannot be reconciled. This is the only issue that is not likely to be changed.

Therefore, don't feel guilty about the way things are. You cannot help it. Accept your feelings and be yourself. Keep it to yourself and consider it like excercise. You need it and your wife doesn't like it. Your kids certainly don't even need to know. Some things are better left unsaid.
